A Crowd-Did Market: Part 1

A Crowd-Did Market is our first annual challenge, and is designed to demonstrate to the world the potential of crowdsourcing. This is the first part of a five-part challenge series to create a product from idea all the way to market using the resources of the crowd throughout – come join us and be part of our experiment!

WHAT YOU NEED TO SOLVE

In Part 1 of A Crowd-Did Market we simply want you to come up with an idea for a unique commercial product.

Absolutely anything goes and everything will be considered. We will use our Crowd Assess functionality for the Solverboard community to evaluate and select the best idea to take forward into the subsequent challenge phases.

CONSTRAINTS

_The winning idea should be unique and not currently in the marketplace
_The winning idea must serve to solve a problem
_The winning idea must be commercial viable

DELIVERABLES

The deliverable for Part 1 is simply the idea. We would like this documented on a short presentation explaining the origins of the idea and some preliminary research detailing the market opportunity and some very rough sketches of the product.

If you win you become part of the inaugural Solverboard Challenge Team, this includes:
_attendance at product launch party (should the challenge succeed after part 5 and subject to conditions)
_invitation to collaborative assessment of the subsequent challenge part solutions
_1.5% royalties on sales for the first year and 1.0% in the second year (subject to conditions)
